Any individual who lives in the state of Maryland whose provider recommends medical cannabis as a treatment option for a qualifying medical condition is eligible to register with the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC) as a patient.  Qualifying medical conditions include cachexia, anorexia, wasting syndrome, severe or chronic pain, severe nausea, seizures, severe or persistent muscle spasms, glaucoma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), or another chronic medical condition which is severe and for which other treatments have been ineffective.

Step 1: Register with the MMCC

Visit the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC) online to register.

Step 2: Get Certified

Obtain a written certification for a qualifying condition by a certified provider.

Step 3: Visit a Dispensary

After your registration has been approved and a certifying provider has issued a written certification, you are ready to visit a licensed Maryland dispensary to purchase medical cannabis.

Patient Renewal

All Patients registered with MMCC must renew their registration every six years through their Maryland OneStop account.
